ABOUT ME

Portraits
For a portrait shot to really work the photographer has to capture the mood, expression and personality of their subject(s) and even their surroundings, in such a way that whether viewed by a stranger or close family member, they will look at it and believe that it captures their very essence.
Coming from a photojournalism background, I’ve photographed everyone from prime ministers to rock stars and whether meticulously set-up in studio conditions or candidly taken at a moment’s notice, the skill lies in the artistic ability to first ‘see’ the picture and then back it up with the technical ability to execute it.
